We, of the Ross Avenue Group of Alcoholics Anonymous, are a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strengths and hope with each other so that we may solve our common problem and help others recover from alcoholism. There is no age or education requirements to participate in the group as well as in the meetings. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
At Ross Avenue group, we believe in being responsible to those we serve by providing at least three meetings a day to our members and visitors alike. Anyone is welcomed to join us.
"I am Responsible. When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of A.A. always to be there. And for that: I am responsible." -- 1965 AA International Convention
We, of Ross Avenue Group Alcoholics Anonymous(AA), bring at least 3 AA meetings a day to the Dallas 24 hour club. The meetings have different formats or styles, and are open to the public. New comers are welcomed to join and non-alcoholics can attend meetings as observers.
"God grant me the Serenity to accept the things - I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can; and Wisdom to know the difference." — Serenity prayer.
The 7:00AM Prayer & meditation meeting is a 25 minute meeting held every day.
Ross Avenue Group Conscience meets every 2nd Sunday of the month at 9:45 AM and everyone is welcome to attend.
Birthdaynight is the last Saturday of every month with dinner beginning at 7:00 PM and the meeting starting at 8:00 PM. All are welcomed.
We provide books for use during meetings, please don’t remove them. If you would like to purchase A.A. literature, one of us will be happy to help you after the meeting.
Open discussion meetings are available to anyone interested in Alcoholics Anonymous’s program of recovery from alcoholism. Non-alcoholics may attend as observers.
Speaker meetings are open meetings where one or more members selected beforehand “share” — as described in the Big Book — telling “what we were like, what happened, and what we are like now.”
Big Bookstudy meetings – Because the Twelve Steps are the foundation of personal recovery in A.A., these meetings will involve a study of each step in rotation or a study of each paragraph of the basic text of the Big Book or any other A.A. approved literature.
Electronic 7th Tradition Contribution
“We are fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.”
We can now practice the 7th tradition by scanning the QR code in/on the basket, or use the QR code posted in the meeting room using a smart phone camera and completing the simple online transaction. Thank you in advance.

About Us
About Us
Who are we?
The Ross Avenue Group of Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who come together to solve their drinking problem. We are people who have discovered and admitted that we cannot control alcohol. We have learned that we must live without it to live normal, happy lives. It doesn’t cost anything to attend A.A. meetings. There are no age or education requirements to participate. Membership is open to anyone who has a sincere desire to stop drinking.
What to Expect at an A.A. Meeting
There are a variety of formats for A.A. meetings, but all meetings have one thing in common: to help others recover from alcoholism. At most meetings you will hear members talk about what drinking did to them and to those around them. Most also share what actions they took to stop drinking and how they are living their lives today. When we first begin to attend A.A. meetings, we may feel confused and apprehensive. Although people at meetings respond to our questions willingly, that alone isn’t enough.
Many other questions occur to us between meetings; we find that we need constant, close support as we begin learning how to “live sober.” This is where sponsorship comes in, we select an A.A. member with whom we can feel comfortable, someone with whom we can talk freely and confidentially. For more information about sponsorship, click on the link Q&A on sponsorship.
We are located at the Dallas 24 Hour Club. Enter the front door on Ross Avenue, the meetings are held on the first door to the right across from the Hubcap Cafe.
