Attention: Chairpersons

  1. IMPORTANT: Please make sure that you read the A.A. pamphlet titled “Problems other than alcohol” by Bill W., co-founder of A.A. You can find a copy on the book shelf in the back of the meeting room or use the link above.
  1. Please check the announcements before your meetings, so you can remember to make the necessary announcements at the end of your meeting.
  1. We have NEWCOMER PACKETS available to issue during meetings. (You can pass the envelope around the room for people who would like to help the newcomer, to share their names and numbers).

Attention: Group members

  1. We are proud to introduce the Electronic 7th Tradition Contributions for Ross Avenue Group via scanning the QR Code on the basket or posted at the back of the room. If you have any questions please see one of us after the meeting or you can go to www.rossavenuegroup.org/meetings/#7th-tradition.
  1. Prayer and Meditation meetings are now available everyday at 7:00 AM and takes around 25 minutes. Everyone is welcome to attend.
  1. The Hospitals and Institutions (H&I) team are looking for people to help carry the message to Homeward Bound, Discovery Point Retreat, Austin Street Center and the Salvation Army (Carr P. Collins center). If you are available and interested, please talk to us after the meeting or you can contact us via email at info@rossavenuegroup.org.
    • Homeward Bound is on Tuesdays, at 7:00 PM. (Homeward Bound requires 6 months of sobriety and an orientation done by them).
    • Discovery Point Retreat is on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM.
    • Austin Street Center is on Thursdays at 8:00 PM.
    • The Salvation Army (Carr P. Collins center) is on Saturdays at 2:00 PM and on Sundays at 3:00 PM.
  1. Birthday night: is on Saturday, November 30th, 2024 with dinner starting at 7:00 PM and sobriety anniversaries celebration starting at 8:00 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend, even non-alcoholics.
  1. Ross Avenue Group conscience meets on Sunday, December 8th, 2024 at 9:45 AM. Everyone is welcome to attend.
  1. New group members can request/apply for service commitments by sending an email to info@rossavenuegroup.org or by attending the group conscience (Sunday, December 8th, 2024 at 9:45 AM).
  1. CityWide Dallas: is on Saturday, December 14th, 2024 with the potluck dinner starting at 5:30 PM and the speaker at 7:00 PM.
  1. The current existing Trusted Servant positions are;-
  1. We bought 20 more new Big Books, please do not remove them from the meeting room. If you would like to purchase A.A. literature, one of us will be happy to help you after the meeting.

  1. We have a new Big Book Study meeting every Sunday at 4:00 PM and all are welcome.

  1. The Ross Avenue Group hosted CityWide Dallas on Saturday, November 11th, 2023 from 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm. We are looking for volunteers to help us serve. If you are available and interested, please talk to us after the meeting or you can contact us via email at info@rossavenuegroup.org.
  1. Holiday Ornaments Party: The Ross Avenue Group organized and hosted a holiday unity event dubbed HO HO HOliday R.A.G. party on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023 at 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM. Join us as we raise the tree, decorate ornaments, personalize stockings, deck the meeting room and fellowship over refreshments.
  1. The Dallas 38th annual “Gathering of Eagles” will be held over Memorial day weekend from May 24th through May 26th. Registration is open on their website www.dallasgatheringofeagles.org for reservations including schedules and volunteer info. The location is Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel on 900 E Lookout Drive, Richardson, TX 75082.
  1. We will be celebrating Founders Day on Sunday, June 9th, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.

  1. The Dallas 24 Hour Club Song Circle is this coming Sunday, in this room, at 7:15 PM. Everyone is welcome.
  1. Our founder and the Founder of The Dallas 24 Hour Club Lee T. will be sharing his experience, strength and hope with us this Saturday, October 19th at the 8:00 p.m. speaker meeting. Come and join us as we celebrate yet another sobriety anniversary. All are welcome.
