Meetings

Meetings

We, of Ross Avenue Group Alcoholics Anonymous(AA), bring at least 3 AA meetings a day to the Dallas 24 hour club. The meetings have different formats or styles, and are open to the public. New comers are welcomed to join and non-alcoholics can attend meetings as observers.

"God grant me the Serenity to accept the things - I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can; and Wisdom to know the difference." — Serenity prayer.

Meetings Guide

  • The 7:00AM Prayer & meditation meeting is a 25 minute meeting held every day.
  • Ross Avenue Group Conscience meets every 2nd Sunday of the month at 9:45 AM and everyone is welcome to attend.
  • Birthday night is the last Saturday of every month with dinner beginning at 7:00 PM and the meeting starting at 8:00 PM. All are welcomed.
  • We provide books for use during meetings, please don’t remove them. If you would like to purchase A.A. literature, one of us will be happy to help you after the meeting.
  • Open discussion meetings are available to anyone interested in Alcoholics Anonymous’s program of recovery from alcoholism. Non-alcoholics may attend as observers.
  • Speaker meetings are open meetings where one or more members selected beforehand “share” — as described in the Big Book — telling “what we were like, what happened, and what we are like now.”
  • Big Book study meetings – Because the Twelve Steps are the foundation of personal recovery in A.A., these meetings will involve a study of each step in rotation or a study of each paragraph of the basic text of the Big Book or any other A.A. approved literature.
