Meetings
We, of Ross Avenue Group Alcoholics Anonymous(AA), bring at least 4 AA meetings a day to the Dallas 24 hour club. The meetings have different formats or styles, and are open to the public. Newcomers are welcomed to join and non-alcoholics can attend meetings as observers.
The Serenity Prayer
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Meetings Guide
- All our meetings are open meetings, meaning any member of the community, alcoholic or nonalcoholic, may attend.
- The 7:00AM Prayer & meditation meeting is a 25 minute meeting held every day.
- The Group Conscience meets every 2nd Sunday of the month at 9:30 AM and everyone is welcome to attend.
- Birthday night is the last Saturday of every month with dinner beginning at 7:00 PM and the meeting starting at 8:00 PM. All are welcomed.
- The Plain Language BigBook Study meeting is a hybrid type of meeting, where some attendees participate physically in the meeting room, while others join virtually via Zoom.
- We provide books for use during meetings, please don’t remove them. If you would like to purchase A.A. literature, one of us will be happy to help you after the meeting.
Types of Meetings
Open Discussion meetings: are available to anyone interested in Alcoholics Anonymous’s program for recovery from alcoholism. Non-alcoholics may attend as observers.
Speaker meetings: are open meetings where one or more members selected beforehand “share” — as described in the Big Book — telling “what we were like, what happened, and what we are like now.”
Book Study meetings: Because the Twelve Steps are the foundation of personal recovery in A.A., these meetings will involve a study of each step in rotation or a study of each paragraph of the basic text of the Big Book or any other A.A. approved literature.
Call-Up (Tag/Pass-It-On) meeting: after the chairperson has introduced the recovery topic, attendees are directly selected (called up) by name to share. There is zero pressure to share. If you would prefer just to listen, you may pass or call up someone else.
💳 Electronic 7th Tradition Contribution
“We are fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.”
We can now practice the 7th tradition by scanning the QR code in/on the basket, or use the QR code posted in the meeting room using a smart phone camera and completing the simple online transaction. Thank you in advance.
Welcome, come join us!
